A species of peat bog – forest landscapes. (mating couple)
It overwinters as ‘young’ caterpiller in moss vegetation. (mating couple)
Feeds on Vaccinium species like V. uliginosum (Juolukoissa), V. myrtillus (Mustikka) , V. vitis-idaea (Puolukka) and V. oxycoccos (Isokarpalo). (male)
Often present in large numbers near rainpubbles on forest roads. (female)
