
Difficult to distinghuish from P. argus (Kangassinisiipi) (male)

The female deposits eggs on Calluna vulgaris (Kanerva), but also Liguminosae.

Overwinters as egg. Caterpillers has rather strong interactions with ants. (same female)

One generation per year.

Can be a very abundant species in the area. (2 males)

Can often be found feeding on flowers, where is also often mates. (other female)
