Eskolanlampi

Eskolanlampi is extremely small (surface area: 124 m2), near the road, but hidden behind trees.

The margins comprise relatively high vegetation, but there are also some patches with peat mosses.

Aeshna subarctica and A. caerulea are two interesting species that are found in this nameless pond, which is a perfect example of an overlooked tiny location with great natural richness! For A. caerulea it is the only place where it is known to occur.
